This gallery contains pictures and photos of Israeli wildflowers. A wildflower is a flower that grows wild, meaning it was not intentionally seeded or planted. There are four different geographical zones and a climate-range from semi-arid to subtropical in Israel. The landscape of flowers and plants changes abruptly with its different geographical regions. Therefore there grow some 2800 types of plants in the country. “A land of wheat and barley and vines and fig-trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey” (Deuteronomy 8:8). On this website the wildflowers are arranged by their most common colors.
